What do you think are the most expensive items on eBay?

Or do you want to find out about the most expensive items on eBay that cost a fortune?

Why don't you sit back as we unveil the list of the most expensive items on eBay? But before we go to that, here's is a little note on what eBay is all about.

As most of us know (if not all), eBay is one of the forerunners as long as online commerce is concerned. This site makes it possible for individuals to sell and buy anything from anywhere at any time. And yes, one can also trade items on eBay.

According to statista.com, eBay's revenue in 2017 was $9.567 billion as against $8.979 billion in 2016, with the majority of this revenue generated from the transaction fees made in the marketplace.

In the year 1995, eBay began its operations, and since then, it has been a platform where many ridiculous and costly items are sold. According to independent.co.uk, one of the weirdest, fanciest and funny items sold on eBay is the grilled cheese sandwich, which had the Virgin Mary's face. This said sandwich was sold for the whopping amount of $28,000 in the year 2004. Funny enough, the woman who made this grilled cheese sandwich said it had magical powers, and for more than a decade, it was untouchable by mold.

Other strange items people have put up on eBay for sale include a "retained rubber duck," a "ghost in a jar," and as well as the "meaning of life," which is worth $3.26 as revealed by the sale in the year 2000.

In 2000, a chewy (chewing gum) spat out by Britney Spears was bought by one of his fans at a whopping amount of $14,000, not to mention the British girl who offered her virginity for sell so she could raise enough money to take care of her college education. A kind buyer later helped her out by giving out the money to her without availing the offer.

Although most of the listing on eBay does not deal with lots of money, there are rare items sold at costly prices. Most of them are scarce comics books, unique collectibles, and as well as expensive supercars. And you'd be shocked to know how much these items cost as they attract massive spenders.
